DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by WMCT/The Tomahawk | \n\n\n\nKenny\, a native of Johnson County has a rich heritage in the music and stories off these hills.  He is a carpenter and painter by trade\, but a musician by natural instinct and talent. \n\n\n\nKenny in the sun of Fiddlin’ Fred Price\, who played at Carnegie Hall and other big stages with Clint Howard and Doc Watson back in the 60s and who left a legacy of folk music much appreciated by legions of fans. \n\n\n\nKenny’s family were musical and not just from his father\, but also his grandmother who played the banjo. At a very early age Kenny started playing the same music that drew his family – the traditional mountain music!  His dad had put strings on an old banjo and then taught his son to play. Later\, Kenny would pick up the fiddle and perform with his famous Dad for several years.  He plays clawhammer and bluegrass banjo\, guitar\, the fiddle and is a excellent singer as well.  A multi-talented man\, Kanny has a CD called “Grandpa’s Memories” made with his father and son\, Adam\, who died of MD at 22. \n\n\n\nKenny’s concerts aren’t just about music\, but also the stories behind the very rich musical history we are known for. \n\n\n\n$15 advance and $20 at the door – student $5
