JAM Jamboree

The Johnson County Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) program is a year-long, community-based traditional music education initiative that provides weekly instruction to school-age children during the academic year supplemented with performance opportunities in the summer months. The program is dedicated to the preservation, transmission, and celebration of Appalachian old-time and bluegrass music using an instructional model rooted in the region’s living musical traditions.
