The 47th Annual SPGMA Bluegrass Music Awards and 38th National Convention were held this past weekend in Nashville, TN. Johnson County native Kody Norris and his band The Kody Norris Show arrived in Nashville holding four nominations for these prestigious awards: Fiddle Performer of the Year (Mary Rachel Norris), Vocal Group of the Year (The Kody Norris Show), Entertainer of the Year (Kody Norris), and Song of the Year (“Love Bug” – The Kody Norris Show).
We at Heritage Hall Theatre are so proud and excited to share that Mary Rachel brought home the Fiddle Performer of the Year award, and Kody brought home the Entertainer of the Year award! Congratulations to Kody and Mary Rachel on these very well-deserved music industry awards! We know how hard the entire band works and are so very excited for them to receive such amazing honors.
Heritage Hall is blessed to be able to showcase The Kody Norris Show annually on Johnson County’s stage. This year is no exception! Their 2022 performance at Heritage Hall Theatre is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. Y’all don’t want to miss this show. After all, as Kody himself says, “it’s dern good entertainment.”
