Songs of the South, a tribute show to Alabama formed in 2019. Comprised of 5 members from the Mountains of Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Members include Wayne Kelley on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Jerry Hanger on drums/vocals, Mike Thacker on lead guitar/vocals, Chris Kelley on bass/vocals, and Don Stevens on lead guitar, keyboards, fiddle, and vocals.
This group has been performing together for over 20 years and has played over 1500 shows. The band’s goal is to put on a show that is energetic, and upbeat, and takes you back to when you heard these songs for the first time. Songs of the South will make you clap, dance, sing along, and leave you wanting more. You might even find yourself on your feet!
